Choose a tablet when the session is official OSRS Mobile, portable, touch-led, or meant to live on a stand. Choose a laptop when RuneLite, plugins, keyboard shortcuts, mouse precision, or desktop multitasking are why you are shopping. Decide the client before comparing screen size. If the workflow is desktop-first, a mobile tablet is the wrong purchase.
The tablet wins when portability and the official mobile client matter more than plugins. If RuneLite, F-keys, or desktop window tiling are non-negotiable, stop comparing tablet sizes.

Decision sequence
Ask these three questions.
- Do you need RuneLite, plugins, or desktop window management?
- Do you want touch controls, a stand, or mobile use away from the desk?
- Will the same device need to handle other desktop applications?
Try a familiar bank trip, camera adjustment, and inventory task on your current device. If the problem is small touch targets, a tablet may help. If you keep reaching for a plugin or keyboard shortcut, put the budget toward a laptop.

Can RuneLite run on an iPad?
No. It does not replace a desktop RuneLite and keyboard workflow on a normal Android or iPadOS tablet.

What about a Chromebook?
Check the operating system and official client path for the exact device. Do not classify it by screen shape alone.
