For AFK-style OSRS mobile sessions, prioritize a readable screen on a stand, a predictable resume routine, and battery you can manage. A larger display does not make a task unattended or remove your responsibility for inputs.

For AFK OSRS, start with a device you can leave readable on a stand and resume without hunting the interface. A larger Android tablet is a useful default for that posture. Pick a phone when portability wins, or a laptop when RuneLite and desktop multitasking are the real job. If the tablet cannot stay readable or resume the official client reliably after a realistic pause, choose a different device.
The pause between clicks matters more than peak specs. Test wake, reconnect, and the next manual tap after the longest pause you actually use.

Repeatable setup
Check battery use during a session at your usual brightness, with the same apps open. Note the starting and ending charge and how long you played. A video-playback battery rating will not tell you how long your OSRS setup lasts.
Banking, inventory, and movement can break the "hands off" idea. Keep the layout readable and test the full loop.
If the activity needs repeated fast inputs, read OSRS tablet for PvM rather than optimizing for a pause that is not there.
Resume test
After a realistic pause, check whether you can return to the game without rearranging windows or changing your grip. Waking the display is fine; repeated disconnects or a lost layout need attention.
