Elgato Stream Deck Pedal vs iKKEGOL Single Optical Foot Switch

Elgato gives you three app-managed pedals with adjustable spring sets. iKKEGOL gives you one optical pedal and stores its configured function. For OSRS, check Jagex’s current rules before treating either mapping as allowed.

The short answer

Choose the Elgato Stream Deck Pedal for three separately mapped controls, app profiles, and Discord or OBS actions. Choose the iKKEGOL for one saved USB function in a lighter pedal. Jagex does not list a pedal-specific approval, so neither is a guaranteed OSRS-compliant shortcut.

Choose by number of pedals and software

One is a three-switch unit managed in Stream Deck; the other stores one configured function on a single USB pedal.

Elgato Stream Deck Pedal

Best for: Three independent switches for separate game, voice, or stream actions.

Tradeoff: Stream Deck must stay open for mapped actions and profiles.

Elgato lists a 960 g base and interchangeable spring sets for different pedal resistance.

iKKEGOL Single Optical Foot Switch

Best for: A single key or function saved using its Windows configuration utility.

Tradeoff: One pedal only, with fixed travel; the 165 g base is far lighter than Elgato.

The manufacturer lists rubber feet, optical switching, and onboard storage after programming.

Specs that decide the foot-pedal setup

The comparison is about pedal count, resistance, movement, and whether an app must stay open.

The main difference is how much you want underfoot

Three mapped controls or one

The Stream Deck Pedal puts three separate switches in one base. That can cover a game modifier, push-to-talk, and a voice mute without sharing one physical action. The iKKEGOL is a single pedal: it suits one repeated key or function and keeps the floor footprint smaller.

Software profiles or saved function

Elgato’s model is useful when the pedal should change jobs between games, Discord, and OBS. Stream Deck profiles and plugins depend on the running app. iKKEGOL requires its Windows configuration utility to program the function; the manufacturer says the saved setup can then be used on supported systems without leaving the utility open.

Base weight and spring feel

Elgato lists a 960 g base and includes four soft, four medium, and four hard springs, plus two stoppers. iKKEGOL lists 165 g and uses a fixed optical mechanism. Its underside has rubber feet, but the lower mass means the base may feel different on a slick mat or tile than the heavier three-pedal unit.

OSRS rules need their own check

Jagex’s current third-party rules do not provide a pedal-specific approval and restrict unapproved software features that generate input. This page cannot call either configuration compliant. Read the current Jagex input rules before using a pedal with OSRS.

The OSRS foot-pedal setup guide explains the decision further. Treat old “single trigger” advice as a device setting, not as Jagex’s approval.

Where each pedal fits a long-session setup

Choose by workflow first, then decide if the game policy allows that workflow.

Discord and OBS

Elgato Stream Deck Pedal

Use three separately assigned actions when you want push-to-talk, mute, and a capture or scene command underfoot. Its profiles can change with the active app, as long as Stream Deck remains open.

One fixed computer action

iKKEGOL single optical switch

Pick it when one pedal is enough and you want the chosen function saved on the device after configuration. The 165 g unit is much lighter than Elgato’s base and has a rubberized underside.

Modifier-heavy MMO setup

Elgato

Map the left pedal to Ctrl, the center pedal to Discord push-to-talk, and the right pedal to Alt if that layout suits your game and chat setup. Confirm game policy before assigning any action that goes beyond a straightforward key press.

Moving between systems

iKKEGOL

A configured device does not require the utility to remain open, which can simplify moving it between a Windows desktop and another supported computer. The exact output and compatibility still depend on the host system.

What neither pedal fixes

Neither pedal is approved by every game, and neither makes an automated sequence acceptable. A heavy base can still move on an unsuitable surface; a light pedal can stay put if the floor and foot angle suit it. If the Stream Deck app closes, its mapped actions stop. If you need only one plain control, three pedals may add unused hardware.

For another three-pedal comparison, see Stream Deck Pedal vs PCsensor. The products are not identical, but that page covers the same choice between app-managed actions and a USB pedal with saved controls. The guides index and WoW setup hub cover broader input planning.

Foot-pedal questions for OSRS and MMO play

Is the iKKEGOL foot switch guaranteed to work with OSRS?

No. Jagex does not list a pedal-specific approval, and its current rules restrict unapproved software features that generate input. A single saved action is not a guarantee of compliance. Check the current rules and the configuration utility before using either pedal with OSRS.

Does the iKKEGOL need software running after setup?

The manufacturer says to configure the pedal with its Windows utility, then connect it to another supported system for plug-and-play use. That is different from the Elgato pedal, which relies on the Stream Deck application while its actions run.

Can the Stream Deck Pedal send three game modifiers?

It has three pedals and can assign separate actions through Stream Deck profiles. Elgato requires the Stream Deck app to run, so the setup follows that computer and app. Test one ordinary key per pedal press and review each game’s input policy.

Will the iKKEGOL slide on a hard floor?

The manufacturer lists rubber anti-slip feet and says the pedal is designed not to slide during use. That is not a guarantee on every floor covering. Its 165 g mass is much lower than the Elgato’s 960 g, so check placement before relying on it.

What is the difference between these pedals and a macro deck?

The Stream Deck Pedal uses the same app family as Elgato’s macro decks and can switch profiles by application. The iKKEGOL stores a configured pedal action. Neither device changes the game’s rules or makes a multi-step action acceptable.
